North Wales Unites for Learning Disability Week 2025
Why It Matters
This initiative isn’t just about getting active. It’s about being seen, being heard, and being together. It’s about raising awareness of learning disability across North Wales, challenging stigma, and promoting inclusion in our communities.
We’re asking:
How far can we go when we move together?
We believe the answer is: Much further than we ever could alone.

This June, we’re thrilled to be joining forces with learning disability organisations across all six counties of North Wales to mark Learning Disability Week 2025 (16–22 June) in a truly collaborative and inspiring way.
For the first time, a region-wide movement is taking place to celebrate visibility, inclusion, and community strength – and we’re proud to be right at the heart of it.
🚶♀️🚴♂️ Beic a Heic – The North Wales Bike & Hike Challenge
Under the banner of #BeicAHeic, organisations, individuals, families and community groups will be taking part in the North Wales Bike & Hike Challenge – a week-long celebration of movement, connection, and shared purpose.
Whether it's walking, wheeling, hiking or biking – every step, every mile, and every moment counts. And this year, all of our movement will also be contributing towards Mencap’s One Big Walk, helping to shine a national spotlight on people with a learning disability.
