What is my kinda day?

Everyone’s idea of a great day looks different.

My Kinda Day is a new service for people with learning disabilities in Conwy.

It’s about making sure your choices, your goals, and your dreams are listened to – and acted on.

It’s your voice. Your life. Your way.

What could My Kind of Day look like?

Illustration of a living room with a yellow sofa, a bookshelf with books, a potted plant, and storage boxes on a wall shelf.

Having my own space

Two children and a woman with dark curly hair, all smiling, interacting with a calf and a rabbit. The girl with light brown hair tied in a bun is kneeling and reaching out to the calf, while the woman is sitting and holding the rabbit. A background of a wooden fence is visible.

Working in a job I love

A diverse group of four people, including a young man in a wheelchair, greeting each other at a doorway, all smiling, in a friendly and inclusive setting.

Going out with friends

Pink text saying "Sign Up" with small decorative stars and a heart around the words.

Joining a club or group I like

Hands painting a floral design on a green fabric or paper with paint tubes, a brush, a palette, and a magnifying glass nearby.

Learning something new

Colorful illustration of a speech bubble with the word 'TALK' and a dashed outline of a face with rays, suggesting conversation or communication.

Having my choices listened to

Comic strip about a conversation with God. A woman at the door knocks, greeting God and saying she is there for a chat. God, inside, responds and explains they will look into things to help her get involved. The panel shows two people sitting at a table, discussing how to map out passions and ideas related to faith and interests, with a football in a thought bubble.
A comic strip showing a woman concerned about her cousin Ged's withdrawal, her daughter Alice helping via a call to the CC4LD program, and the counselor on the computer offering help with learning disabilities.
A comic strip with four panels showing a young girl and a young boy, and an energetic celebration. The girl is talking on the phone, thrilled about a football team. The boy is on the field, asking if he can join the next training. The girl informs him that she found him a team to join. In the last panel, he celebrates excitedly, now able to play football and join a team. The comic is colorful, with logos and text highlighting the event, "my kinda day," and supporting organization "Conwy Connect for Learning Disabilities."

We’ve made a fun comic-style story to explain how we hope My Kind of Day could help.
